Biography of Patrick E. Gorman

Patrick E. Gorman was born in Louisville, Kentucky, November 1892. He joined the Amalgamated Meat Cutters in 1911 and was elected president in 1923. In 1942, he was elected International Secretary-Treasurer. Gorman, who died in 1980, is particularly remembered for his efforts in promoting better relations between the workers in the meat packaging industry and their employers.
