Scope and Content of the Collection

The collection consists of the papers of L. E. Marler, 1957-, 1965-1973, pertaining primarily to the Steering Committee of the southern States Apprenticeship Conference (SSAC), of which Marler was chairman. Annual conferences, 1965-1973, were planned and conducted by this committee. Also included is material concerning the Houston Apprenticeship Information Center.

Biography of L. E. Marler

L. E. Marler was supervisor of training for the Armco Steel Company, member of the Advisor Committee for the Houston apprenticeship Information Center; chairman of the Standing Proceedings Committee, vice-chairman, co-chairman and chairman of the Steering Committee of the Southern States apprenticeship Conference.
