Historical Note
The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) was founded in 1893. In 1995, IATSE adopted the name, The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories, and Canada, to more accurately reflect the scope of the union's activities within the entertainment industry. IATSE members are involved with every phase of production in all aspects of the entertainment industry.
