Scope and Content of the Collection
The Popular Music Periodicals collection is an artificial collection of serial publications about the American Popular Song, Jazz, Country, Bluegrass and Gospel genres of music, and related musical industry issues. Materials are usually received by Special Collections along with donated manuscript collections.
Significant periodicals include Nostalgia Digest, Jazz Beat, Bluegrass Unlimited, Country Song Roundup, DISCoveries and newsletters published in Atlanta by the Southeastern Bluegrass Association SEBA Breakdown. Topics include prominent and local artist features of identified musical genres, music industry news, and music collectors merchandise.
The Popular Music Periodicals Collection is available for use only in the Special Collections Department Reading Room.
