Biographical Note

Steven Igarashi-Ball is a community activist, organizer and HIV/AIDS educator. He is Director of Equity and Engagement at the Atlanta Pride Committee. Previously, he had a twelve-year career at AID Atlanta as Gay Men's Outreach Program Director and Assistant Events and Team Manager, AIDS Walk Atlanta and 5K Run, the largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser in the southeast. His work with Drag Queen Story Hour Atlanta has received international press attention and has been highlighted for their work in creating visibility and representation while promoting creative expression, tolerance, acceptance and a lifelong passion for literacy.
