Each season 7 Stages explores varying subject matter from international, social and political turmoil, contemporary health crises, the ethical implications of new technologies and group and individual identity as seen through the lens of gender, race, and religion.

Abstract

The 7 Stages Theatre (Atlanta, Ga.) records give a view into the daily operations of a major local theatre. Founded by Del Hamilton and Faye Allen in 1979 in Little Five Points, Atlanta, the humble beginnings took off to showcase productions not only by famous play wrights but also emerging international and local theatrical groups. The prolific series of productions over the course of 30 plus years culminated into a creative gem, addressing complex issues that face contemporary society. The papers consist primarily of printed materials, theatrical programs, scripts, publicity material such as press kits, posters, photographs, articles, and the administrative papers of running a small but robust theatre.
