Scope and Contents of the Records
The records, 1942-1956, of National City Lines, Inc., consist of the operating records of the company's Southern Region, which operated public transportation service in Montgomery and Mobile, Alabama: Port Arthur, Beaumont, and Wichita Falls, Texas; Tampa, Florida; Jackson, Mississippi; and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The records are from the regional office and the local braches and include War Labor Board Case documents, company bulletins, payrolls, maintenance reports, union contracts, arbitration case material, accident and safety reports, memoranda concerning the reemployment of veterans, and labor relations files from the various cities.
