Newsletters come from several organizations that include PATCO and its successor organizations, PATCO Lives and USATCO. Artifacts include Ty Cobb's Picketing vest, PATCO member hats, and a poster from the 1981 PATCO Convention in New Orleans. Biographical Note about Howard "Ty" Cobb

Howard "Ty" Cobb joined PATCO, the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization, in 1975 while working as a GS14 Air Traffic Controller at the Atlanta Tower at Hartsfield Airport. He was terminated in the mass firing of striking air traffic controllers by the Reagan Administration in 1981, which also led to the dissolution of PATCO. His committee work for PATCO included the management of PATCO itself in the assigned Headquarters Committee, a focus on air safety on the national and regional levels, and organizing the National Safety Meeting. After his termination from the FAA and PATCO's decertification, he worked as the owner of package store, but continued to attend PATCO reunions, receive newsletters from USATCO and PATCO Lives, successor organizations, and collecting newsclippings from supporters and detractors of the PATCO strike.
