Chartered on September 1, 1944 as a local of the Food, Tobacco, Agricultural and Allied Workers Union of America, its affiliation changed in 1954 when it became Local 15-A of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union. The collection, 1945-1973, consists of financial documents, general correspondence, and files describing relations with eleven companies in the Charleston, S.C. area, chiefly the American Tobacco Company.

Robert W. Smith was a member of Liberty Lodge 713 (location unknown), and his collection consists of memberships dues cards, 1941-1969.

Abstract: Ron Elliott was a member of PATCO (Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization) and worked as an air traffic controller for 11 years. Elliott served as a Choir Boy for Local 101 and the Atlanta cluster, organizing all striking controllers in the Metro Atlanta area. Roy Groenert papers

The collection documents the strike (1964-1965) at Atlanta's Scripto Corporation manufacturing plant. The records of the Scripto strike, 1963-1968, 1996, 1999 consist of contemporary legal and union documents, newspaper articles, and photographs.
