Scope and Contents of the Series

Series II, Allied and Technical Workers, 1970-1973, reflects Adkins' time as Director for Atlanta Region 26, 1969-1972, when International Union of District 50 was an independent entity. It is organized in 3 subseries: A. Director's Files, 1971-1972; B. Collective Bargaining, 1970-1972; C. Arbitration and Grievances, 1971-1973.

Regional Director Files (1971-1972) include newspaper articles, correspondence, interoffice communication, bylaws, and constitutions. Collective Bargaining materials consist of ATW contracts arranged by local union number and contracts from other unions. Arbitration and Grievances contains files on cases from 1971-1973. Companies include: Keystone-Georgia Metal Company (1971) and Fredrickson Motor Express Corporation (1972-1973). Artifacts include badges and other union memorabilia.
