Sub-subseries 1: Grievances, includes files concerning issues such as loss of pay, job assignment, seniority, work load, and unfair discharge, and are comprised of grievance forms, handwritten documents by union members, correspondence, pay stubs, work load and operating reports, transcripts of meetings, and job specifications as well as photocopies of information written on the front cover of the original file folders, doctor's notes and receipts.

The majority of the original grievance folders bore notes regarding the final status of the grievance. For example, some of the original file folders had written on the cover "Withdraw/Withdrawn", "Settled" or "Arbitrate", as well as other notes. It is necessary to reference the folder in order to determine its ultimate status.
