Scope and Content of the Series
This series contains historical information about Eastern Airlines. One of the oldest items in the collection is a small day book (1928-1948) that has a few news clippings, photographs, and flight stamps related to Eastern's earliest incarnations, Pitcairn Aviation and Eastern Air Transport. Most of the photographs in this series are reproductions of earlier photographs and not original. Artifacts include Proclamations from Mayor Sam Massell (Aviation Week 1970) and Mayor Maynard Jackson (Eastern Airlines Week 1978).
