Scope and Contents Note
Audiocassette tapes form the bulk of audiovisual materials. Included are materials related to Usery's swearing-in as Secretary of Labor in 1976 and the moonshot in 1969.
Audiovisual Materials with item descriptions available from Holdings File, Southern Labor Archives:
- Series 1: Career with the International Association of Machinists, 1940, 1946-1969, has 366 related images.
- Series 2: Career with the U.S. Federal Government, 1969-1977, has 750 related images.
- Series 3: Bill Usery Associates, 1977-1985, has 282 related images.
- Undated images include Usery portraits.
- Box 15 audio cassettes, eight videocassette recordings, and two reel-to-reel audiotapes in the collection consist of one tape from Series1 (NASA launch, February 20, 1962) and the remaining divided between Series 2 and 3.
- The three-phonodisc recordings in the collection relate to Usery's swearing-in as Secretary of Labor in 1969, and the 1969 moonshot.
