Correspondence, 1995-2000
Scope and Content of the Series
Correspondence and printed material make up the bulk of the Arthritis Foundation series, 1985-2000, which also includes minutes, speeches and presentation material, financial and employment records. The series documents Mary Long's role as a chief manager and organizer of the Arthritis Foundation's activities as advocate for those suffering from the disease. Though based at the Atlanta national office of the Foundation, the series shows Long to have been involved with lobbying efforts in Washington and with chapters of the Foundation nationwide. See Series IX for Arthritis Foundation artifacts.
