Scope and Content of the Subseries

From the Sub-Series:

Following these daily records of Usery's activities is the detailed information in Foreign Travel, 1978-1991, on his work-related foreign trips to destinations throughout the world, including Bermuda, Europe, Japan, and Mexico. The travel files are arranged in alphabetical order by country visited, and through studying this subseries, a researcher can easily gain an understanding of the elaborate logistical support necessary to such itineraries. This travel involved labor negotiations within the countries visited (Bermuda), productivity case study symposia at the United Nations International Labor Organization (Geneva, Switzerland), Brazil, and Japan. The correspondence and materials related to the trips provide ample evidence of Usery's personal style in developing working relationships with foreign peers.
