National Wire of Georgia, Inc., Job Classifications and Descriptions, 1958-1972
Scope and Content of the Series
Series III consists of records concerning the negotiations and administration of collective bargaining agreements with companies in the district. Many companies are represented with no more than a contract information form. Others, however, include extensive information on negotiations, strikes, and grievance/arbitration proceedings. The richest collection in this series is that of the Atlantic Steel Company. Other large sub-series are Bowman Transportation, Continental Can, Southern Can, Southern Cross Industries, Southern Wood Processing, and the William L. Bonnell Co. The series includes a set of contracts, filed alphabetically by company.
