Scope and Content of the Series

From the Series:

Series IV consists of Mary Jo Duncanson's personal materials, including bound notebooks that contain notes on meetings, speeches, lobbying, and brainstorming ideas dating from February 8, 1979 to January 21, 1982. Clippings on women's issues and rights and writing notes for speeches, newsletters, and letters are also found in this series. Personal correspondence includes a thank-you letter from Geraldine Ferraro dated December 5, 1984, correspondence with The Nestle Company regarding infant formula promotion in third world countries, and a letter to the editor of the Atlanta Journal and Constitution that was published in the March 8, 1979 edition. Series IV holds the one photograph in the collection, a signed photograph of Walter K. Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro. The "readings on women" folder contains an article titled "Sisterhood" by Gloria Steinem, an article titled "What can be done to help the displaced homemaker," and a short passage titled "Future's Man" by Tom Glanton.
