Scope and Content of the Series

This series includes four small subseries: A. Arbitration Documents B. Contracts and Agreements C. Grievance Reports D. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Proceedings

Subseries A contains arbitration documents, negotiations, and proceedings mainly dating from the early to mid-1970s. Especially well-documented are the November 1975 arbitration proceedings between the Union and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). Various contracts and agreements comprise Subseries B. Subseries C consists of grievance reports from the Union membership, mainly covering the period between 1947 and 1961, and the 1970s. Subseries D is a small subseries of proceedings, including dismissed cases, of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission concerning the Division 732 membership. (NOTE: Some of the materials in Subseries C and D contain personal information; see access restrictions.)
