Scope and Content of the Series
Series VI consists of correspondence, news clippings, reports, and a variety of other printed information sources pertaining to issues, conferences, political activities, charitable and community involvement, and other material of interest to a local union. One of the largest sub-series is the Gadsden Industrial Union Council. Some of the other subjects are agreements, the Alabama School of Trade, Arbitration, Complaints, Goodyear, Highlander Folk School, Insurance, the Ladies Auxiliary, Negotiations, Notations and Demerits, URW General Executive Board, Social Services, Strikes, and various government agencies.
