Scope and Content of the Records
From the Collection:
The Records, 1964-1966, of the Medical Committee for Human Rights consist of correspondence, constitutions, bylaws, minutes, press releases, and speech texts. The records include recruitment appeals, a summary of health problems encountered in Mississippi, a summary of volunteer responsibilities, a speech by Dr. John Holloman at th MCHR's annual dinner in 1965, an evaluation of the group's work in Mississippi, a critique of "Compliance Programs Under the Civil Rights Act of 1964," and a discussion of MCHR's relationship with other organizations.
