Scope and Contents
Subseries A, Videotapes, 1987-1997, undated, contains 31 videotapes, with some additional duplicates, covering issues of domestic violence. These videotapes are divided into several groups. One group of videotapes (V1-5) includes copies of commercially released videos, mainly movies and talk shows. A second group (V6-13, V28) consists of conference workshops, training programs and documentaries relating to domestic violence, including one short legislative video released by the Georgia Network Against Domestic Violence and one from a Family Violence Teleconference sponsored by the DHR Department of Human Services Domestic Violence Task Force. A third group (V14-23) features documentaries or training videos on police and law enforcement training, including 4 videos from the Law Enforcement Satellite Academy of Tennessee program. A fourth group (V24-27, V29-31) consists mainly of promotional and public service items, notably public service announcements from the Department of Human Resources (V29) and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (V30-31). Two videos (V9 and V29) are originally U-Matic tapes; videos V30 and V31 are reel-to-reel; and the remainder are VHS videotapes.
