Commonwealth of Kentucky: Nursing statutes [L1991-01], 1966, 1982

Pamphlets, reports and other bound publications, near-print publications, photocopies of newspaper clippings, postcards, forms, and other items make up this series, which is divided into two subseries.

• Subseries A: Nursing in Kentucky contains three sub-subseries.
  • Sub-subseries 1: Donated scrapbooks contains four scrapbooks donated to the Executive Office or the Historical Committee. Two record the activities of KNA District 12 and one includes clippings and ephemera from the 1952 ANA Convention.
  • Sub-subseries 2: Clippings consists of photocopies of clippings kept by KNA, primarily from local newspapers, related to the activities of the association, its members, and its constituent units, especially conventions, workshops, and other meetings; to the economic status and organization of medical personnel in Kentucky, especially nurses; and to nursing and medical care in Kentucky, arranged chronologically, except one subject file.
  • Sub-subseries 3: Subject files includes printed material related to nursing in Kentucky such as rules, regulations and manuals issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing Education and Nurse Registration; guides and catalogs to nursing education in Kentucky; hospital personnel policies; and material by and about other nursing organizations and institutions in Kentucky, including hospitals and nursing schools, arranged by subject or by issuing body.
• Subseries B: General nursing and other topics contains two sub-subseries.
  • Sub-subseries 1: American Nurses Association publications includes by-laws, reports, informational booklets, pamphlets, membership materials, newsletters, and other items related to the American Nurses Association, its sections and constituent associations. Similar materials from accession L1978-20 were separated to the Southern Labor Archives Printed Collection. See list of separated materials.
  • Sub-subseries 2: Subject files consists of miscellaneous items, probably from KNA's executive office, concerning nursing, health care, secretarial work, parliamentary procedure, and other topics. Includes publications of other state nurses associations.
