Scope and Content of the Papers
The Laura J. Moriarty Papers, circa 1978-1994 consists of materials relating to her involvement with various organizations, including the Abigails (a group of DeKalb County, Georgia school board members, commissioners, legislators and local citizens interested in promoting women), the Democratic Party, the League of Women Voters, the Atlanta Regional Commission, the National Issues Forum and the National Commission on Social Security. Also included are three scrapbooks (dismantled for preservation purposes) of photographs and news clippings regarding her involvement with these organizations, and various artifacts, including pinback buttons and awards.
