Committees, commissions, and boards, 1908-1977, 1986-1987, bulk: 1929 - 1976

Notices of meetings; minutes; policy statements, reports and other work produced by the unit; financial reports; and incoming and outgoing correspondence of the unit chair, members, and executive staff make up the files in this series. The series is organized according to functions or subject areas as defined by KNA at the end of the period reflected by the bulk of the records (circa 1977). Since the status of many units in KNA changed over time, the files for a single topical area show the evolution of the organizational structure dealing with that topic (for example, an ad hoc committee changing its name and becoming a standing committee). Files of joint bodies on which KNA was represented (for example, KNA-Kentucky Hospital Association Accrediting Committee) are filed in Series IV: Executive Office.
