Iron Workers Local 704, Contracts and Agreements, 1953-1957

The records, 1901-1968, of the Chattanooga Building Trades Council are composed primarily of correspondence, limited financial records, and work agreements. The bulk of the collection is made up of correspondence between the council and selected constituent locals as well as national level organizations. These national organizations include the AFL-CIO Building and Construction Trades Department, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and the War Labor Board. The correspondence with local craft unions is comprised of general office correspondence and work agreements and wage scales.

In addition to the correspondence are limited financial documents, which include organizational audits (1952-1965); executive board minutes (1938-1946, 1956-1960); and apprenticeship correspondence and training booklets.
