Scope and Content of the Subseries
The subseries consists of correspondence, financial documents, and printed material organized by the corresponding secretary of that short-lived group (founded 1922 to assume some functions of the Charleston Red Cross Chapter, the association's personnel and functions were taken up by the Charleston County Health Department in late 1924). The records document primarily the organization’s effort to become financially stable. Ruth Chamberlin received the records in 1964, possibly as part of the South Carolina League for Nursing's historical project.
