Scope and Content of the Subseries

The subseries includes personal files created by Chamberlin, organizational records of the SCLN, and documentation of the collecting work of the SCLN's Historical Resource Committee. Chamberlin, who had served as SCLNE's first president, was a former president of SCNA, and Dean of the School of Nursing at South Carolina Medical College chaired the committee.
See series VII.A for files created by Chamberlin as SCNA's representative on the State Board of Health. For documentation of SCNA's collaborations with SCLNE/SCLN, see Series I, II, and VI. Series VIII.B may also contain material collected by the SCLN Historical Committee.
