Scope and Content of the Series
Minutes, correspondence, bylaws and constitutions, reports and printed material, financial records, limited membership lists, photographs, a motion picture, and artifacts make up the organizational records of SCNA's districts, which are the basic units in the ANA/constituent nurses association structure. Records in subseries A are from the districts as they existed between SCNA's establishment of five districts in 1919, reorganized into seven in 1937, and their dissolution on December 31, 1970. Subseries B includes records from five of the ten districts that started up on January 1, 1971.
Series VI contains further information on SCNA's Districts and their occasional redrawing.
