National nurse week proclamation, 1974

Photographic prints, slides, negatives, reel-to-reel audio tapes, audiocassettes, artifacts, and a single motion-picture film, make up the audio-visual records of the Georgia Nurses' Association. Many of the items in this series have been separated from other series within the collection. During an earlier processing project, four photographs were removed and catalogued separately; short descriptions of these photographs are in the List of Separated Material and detailed descriptions can be found in the labor photographs green sheets (Accession L1977-38).

This series includes 111 reel-to-reel tapes, all of which are restricted because of preservation concerns. These tapes seem to be recordings of various meetings; however, it is not clear if they are GNA meetings, fifth district meetings, or something else entirely. The tapes have been re-housed, and anything written on the original cases has been transcribed to the new housing. A rough list of the tapes, based on the original labels, has been compiled and a hard copy is stored in box AV-1. For further information, please consult the archivist.
