The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 2139 (Tallahassee, Fla.) records, 1951-1969, consist primarily of minutes and dues ledgers. The minutes reveal the local's concern with negotiating wage increases; improving working conditions; sending delegates to conventions; training new members and updating the training of old members; and inviting political candidates and officeholders to address meetings of the local.
