Scope and Content of the Series
Series II is very closely related to Series III, Georgia State University - Women's Studies. Series II includes professional files accumulated during the course of Dr. Fowlkes' career at Georgia State University, in her role as Political Science professor and committee member. The series also includes a significant amount of material relating to her promotion and tenure, from Assistant to Associate Professor in 1980, and from Associate to Full Professor in 1992. Reference files and correspondence relating to her teaching and research interests, mainly feminist and other women's issues, also form part of this series.
