Six Flags Pride Day proposal, 2003
Scope and Contents of the Records
The Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Center Records, 1960 - 2006 (bulk 1979 - 2004), primarily consist of reports, grant materials, meeting minutes, financial records, correspondence, flyers, newsletters, medical research materials, and STD clinic records. The records are separated into four series: Administrative, Organizations, Media and Publications, and Medical.
A large portion of the collection includes medical research relating to the AIDS epidemic, and was collected by Dr. Richard Hudson.
These records contain materials from both Atlanta-based LGBT organizations, such as AID Atlanta, and national LGBT organizations, such as GLAAD and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.
