Recording of the 1968 convention of the Mississippi State AFL-CIO. In this recording, the convention discusses the affiliation of locals to the state AFL-CIO, efforts to organize non-union labor, and the importance of supporting union labor as consumers. Elections are held for President, Secretary Treasurer, and Vice President of the council’s executive board. The second half of the recording contains discussion of a joint program with Mississippi State University and concerns with the upcoming presidential election regarding Cold War tensions.
