Scope and Contents of the Sound Recording
In this recording, a man begins to narrate a film strip that explains why the Political Action Council (PAC) does an annual $1 contribution drive at every local in the Congress of Industrial Organization (CIO). He starts by outlining the different legislation's achieved through collective bargaining and notes how congressional procedures have the ability to change them abruptly. His conversation continues to reveal that the CIO is requesting a federal program that ensures an increase in workman's compensation that is uniform across 48 states. The $1 mandatory contribution to the PAC assists in securing congressional members with the laborers interests at hand.
