Political Questionnaires, 1970
Scope and Content of Part Two
Records of the Georgia State AFL-CIO, 1959-1972, concern routine functions of both the international office and its Georgia branch. Correspondence from the international office, several of its departments, different unions, and the Atlanta Labor Council discuss collective bargaining, affiliations, and civic affairs. Correspondents include Hubert Humphrey, Robert Kennedy, Ellis Arnall, Ivan Allen, Jr. and Carl Sanders. Minutes of the Georgia State AFL-CIO Executive Board, 1967-1971, include reports of daily board functions, finances, affiliations, and resolutions. Information on Georgia political affairs, convention delegates, certificates, clippings, and printed material complete the records. Minutes, correspondence, financial material, reports and clippings of the Appalachian Council of the AFL-CIO record the Georgia State body's efforts to assist in the development of Appalachia.
