Scope and Contents of the Scrapbooks
From the Collection:
The Frank Sgambato scrapbooks, 1936-1952, contain newpaper clippings. Loose pages document Sgambato's early career, 1936-1944; one scrapbook has items from 1946 but largely covers 1948; and a second scrapbook contains clippings, 1949-1952. The scrapbooks include material about the United Textile Workers of America (UTWA), relations between the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations in the New England region, and about Frank Sgambato's career in organized labor and politics.
