Scope and Contents of the Collection

Bylaws, dues books, membership cards (traveling and retired), and correspondence, 1908, 1913-1920, 1953, document the career of Carl F. Bach, who was affiliated with International Association of Machinists Local Lodges 47 (Denver, Colo.), 89 (Cheyenne, Wyo.). and 1143 (Laramie. Wyo.) during the early decades of the twentieth century. Two letters, 1914, depict the efforts to assist Bach by Denver Lodge 47 after he was fired for being a union member. Documents indicate his responsibilites at Local 89, including a certificate and photograph from his service as the local's delegate to IAM's Sixteenth Convention in 1920.
