Scope and Contents of the Sub-Series
This sub-series consists primarily of communication between international union headquarters and the Region 5 staff concerning activities of their regional, district, or local organizing staffs. Unions with more than average files included in the sub-series are the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America (ACWA), the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union of America (ACTWU), Local 1565 (Atlanta) of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and several Directly Affiliated Local Unions (DALU's).
