Interviewed by Dennis Winslow. In this interview, Jeff Winter recalls his formative years in Brooklyn, N.Y. and his early radio career before his service in the army as a broadcasting specialist. He then discusses his radio career in Atlanta, Ga. at uniquely formatted WKXI, technological changes to the station, and his time as a disc jockey at WKLS Rock 96. Finally, Winter describes his transition into producing radio advertising and voice-over work and concludes with his induction into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame.

Biographical Note

Jeff Winter was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1946 and began his radio career home producing content while still in high school. He has worked in radio broadcasting as a producer, disc jockey and voice-over performer for advertising with the majority of his career spent in Atlanta, Ga. He was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame in 2018.
