IAMAW Local Lodge 126 Records contain grievance files, contract negotations, membership records, financial records, jurisdictional disputes, work rules, patronage files, strike materials, anniversary artifacts, photographs, and correspondence. Local Lodge 126 represented workers employed by the City of Chicago (particularly the Sanitary District), various city newspapers (Sun-Times and Tribune), and other private companies. In addition, Local Lodge 126 history includes multiple long term jurisdicitional disputes with other IAM locals as well as other labor organizations, most notably the International Brotherhood of Carpenters.
