Standard printed contract and transmittal letter: The contract is dated June 24, 1963, between Leeds Music Corporation and Johnny Mercer, assigning rights to "Windows of Paris (English lyric to: Windows of Paris [sic])." The printed form used is the "1947 Revised Uniform Popular Songwriters Contract." The contract assigns copyright of the song to Leeds Music Corporation for 28 years. Payment for the song is spelled out in detail. The contract is for publication rights. Signatures on last page are of representative of Leeds Music Corporation [indecipherable] 322 West 48th St., New York 36, N.Y.; and Johnny Mercer; and is countersigned for the American Guild of Authors & Composers by Margaret Thiele, October 18, 1963. Transmittal letter dated October 21, 1963, is signed with stamp by Margaret Thiele, and addressed to "Mr. John H. Mercer, c/o Vernon D. Wood, 2018 N. Vine St., Hollywood, Calif." Penciled onto letter is "treat same as Once Upon a Summertime."
