Interviewed by Harvey Newman, Andrea Young, and Teresa Taylor. In this interview, Dan Halpern discusses Mayor Maynard Jackson and what he did for the city of Atlanta. He then goes into some detail about the businesses involved in the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, and relations between business and politcs. He the discusses the impact on Atlanta of the Civil Rights movement, the mayoral history of the city, and education.

Biographical Note
Daniel (Dan) Halpern graduated from Cornelll University in 1987, where he met Mayor Maynard Jackson. He moved to Atlanta at Jackson's insistance, where he has with every mayoral campaign since. He owns 46 resturaunts, including three in the Hartsfield-Jackson airport. Additionally, he served on the board of directors of the Atlanta Housing Authority for 7 years and currently serves on the board of directors for the Democratic National Committee.
