Performances and Appearances, 1973-1999

The documents in this series date from 1973 to 1999. They include the different types of publicity that Emma Kelly used to announce and promote her performances, as well as newspaper clippings about the book, and movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Emma was the consummate performer, playing at functions from holiday parties and club dates to ballet recitals and the 1995 Savannah Jazz Festival. Her fame grew far and wide with the publication, and succeeding production, of John Berendt's best seller.
