Business Records, 1984-1997

Many of the documents in this series are letters from organizations and establishments that had hired Emma to perform at their events. The types of letters include commitment verifications, thank-you letters of appreciation and confirmation of payment. Some of her performances were held at events such as judicial barbecues, historic foundation galas, awards luncheons and country club events. Other types of business records in these folders include a Pirates' House pay stub, a handwritten tax information document, some legal documents and a promissory note. There are also (2) business letters, between Mike Kelly and Joe Odom, concerning the business of running "Emma's." Undated information consists of the original order form (and copies) for the Emma Kelly Album and an undated letter from an admiring friend. Thirty-one (31) business cards are housed in artifact box 1 (A1). Five of the business cards are Emma Kelly's.
