Interviewed by Erica Hague. In this interview, Michelle Pompei talks about the issues that motivated her to attend the Women's March on Washington on January 21, 2017, including reproductive rights, racial justice, and sexual assault. She talks about her experience at the march, which was positive, and her family's response to her attending the march, which was negative. Pompei discusses activities in which she has participated since the march, including working to change the sex education curriculum in Savannah schools and collecting menstrual products for homeless women.

Michelle Pompei was born in Connecticut in 1980 and currently lives in Savannah, Ga. She works as a research coordinator in the field of clinical psychiatry.
