Interviewed by Morna Gerrard. In this interview, Lynda Martin discusses how she became politically aware in the 1970s, and talks about her anger and disappointment over the 2016 presidential election. She talks about making the decision to attend the Women's March on Washington on January 21, 2017, and discusses her overwhelmingly positive experience at the march. Martin also discusses her career and her children, including her son's attendance at the Women's March. She expresses her belief that resistance to the Trump administration will maintain its momentum, and talks about ways that she has stayed involved in political activities since returning from the march.

Biographical Note

Lynda Martin was born in 1949 in Tampa, Fla. She grew up in Berkeley, Calif. and has lived in various places. She has two children. Martin works as a surgical nurse.
