Interviewed by Karen Stephens. In this interview, Theo DeVinney describes his experience at the Atlanta March for Social Justice and Women, which he attended with his parents and friends. He describes being motivated to march to express his support of LGBTQ rights, and he discusses how his perspective as a gay transgender man informs his political views. DeVinney talks about his hope that people will be spurred by life under the Trump administration to educate themselves about issues of oppression, and he discusses his fears of what Trump's regressive policies could mean for LGBTQ people in America. He offers advice for others who are interested in attending marches in the future, and describes how attending this march affected him.
