Biographical Note

Kate Van Cantfort was born in 1977 in South Carolina. Her daughter Emma Van Cantfort-Carpenter was born in 2007 in Kansas. Kate mainly grew up in Milledgeville, Ga. Her parents worked in local radio. Kate studied non-profit management and has worked with a diverse array of organizations. She currently lives in Athens, Ga. and owns a small business. Emma lives in Athens with her mother and attends school.
