The Johnny Mercer Chesterfield Music Shop, 1992

This collection consists of an unpublished 1992 manuscript, The Johnny Mercer Chesterfield Music Shop, a revision of the discography by Harry Mackenzie that was published in 1986. Mr. Mackenzie used the Mercer Collection at Georgia State University in the course of his research for this book, and donated a copy of the manuscript to GSU so that other researchers could have access to the information he compiled.

The manuscript contains a short introductory section; a cost sheet; a table of wax information on the AFRS recordings; a program log from 12 June to 8 December 1944; final comments; a guest index; and a title index. In addition, two articles on Johnny Mercer's Music Shop and copies of the disc labels for two of the programs are included at the conclusion of the manuscript.
