Topics discussed include Seng's parents and their reasons for leaving China; family life; schooling as a child; the entrance of the Communists into Laos; her brother-in-law's imprisonment by the Communists; the family's move to Thailand as refugees; life in a Thai refugee camp; meeting her husband; getting married in the refugee camp; moving to the United States and adjusting to a new culture; and jobs Chong held in Laos, Thailand, and the US.
